Printing your tags

More printing options!
A great feature of our system is that you can print your tags in different formats to fit your needs.

We currently have 3 print formats: What should I print on? Cardstock, Paper, Labels?

Remember, the goal to tagging your items is to make the tag as secure as possible on the item so that is less likely to become detached during the sale.  We cannot sell items without a tag.

Cardstock or heavy paper (non-textured):
~ Clothes and other items that tags get attached with a tagging gun or safety pin.

Plain paper:
~ Plain paper can be used for toys and other items that will be taped over with packaging tape.

Labels:
~ Labels can be used for toys, books, games - any item that would not have the tag attached via a tagging gun or safety pin. You can still print on labels for those items, but please stick the label on a piece of cardstock attached to the item.

***Be sure to follow print instructions on the page, especially when printing 30 to a page.

Attaching your tags!

  • For clothing, tags should be printed on heavy paper (cardstock) and should be attached (using a tagging gun or safety pin) to the size tag at the neckline - if there is not size tag, then attach to a seam under the left arm (right if facing you) or on the inside seam of the left arm opening (right if facing you).
*** DO NOT attach via tag gun or safety pin to the front of the clothing item on the fabric - this can cause holes in the fabric.
*** DO NOT stick label directly to fabric - if you print on labels, stick the label to a piece of cardstock and attach via pin/tag gun (see above)
*** DO NOT use a stapler to attach the tag.

  • For non-clothing or non-fabric items, use either the label or tag/packing tape to attach to your item.

Make sure the tag price and description are visible and the barcode is flat so it is easy to scan.

Remember, the goal is to make sure the tag is securely fastened to the item, thus reducing the risk of it becoming detached during the sale.

Hanging and Packaging

  • Clothes need to be on the appropriate size hangers.  This includes swimsuits, onesies, pajamas, etc.   When the item is facing you, the hanger top should be the shape of a question mark '?'.
***DO NOT put any clothing items in plastic baggies.

  • Shoes should be tied together - zipties, ribbon or string will work great!
***DO NOT put shoes in plastic baggies.

  • Items with several pieces should be bagged in clear ziploc baggies.
The goal for all packaging is to keep all pieces of your items securely together. This is a big sale with lots of people coming through. the more securely your items are packaged, the better!
